This walkthrough details the setup process for Solara for Roblox users operating the Solara executor on Windows. Revised for 2026 and the newest Solara download (v0.1.7c).
After downloading the Solara ZIP archive, properly unzipping and setting it up is essential. This avoids frequent issues such as the executor shutting down immediately or failing to attach to Roblox.
Step 1: Unpack the Archive
Find the downloaded .zip archive. Never launch the executor inside the ZIP folder directly. Right-click it and choose "Extract All...". Set up a fresh dedicated folder on your storage drive (for instance, C:\Solara) and extract your files inside.
Step 2: Set Up Prerequisite Runtimes
Running Solara depends on two essential Microsoft packages. Without them in place, the application will not launch. Get and install them via the following links:
- Visual C++ Redistributable (x64): Get it here
- .NET Desktop Runtime (x64): Get it here
Notice: Reboot your PC after completing both installations. This step is mandatory before launching Solara for the first time.
Step 3: Launch with Administrative Rights
Open the directory where you extracted the files. Find solara.exe, right-click on it, and select Run as Administrator. This provides the executor with the proper privileges required to inject into Roblox.
