Everything necessary to set up Solara and keep it running smoothly.
Welcome to the official Solara setup guide. Follow these simple steps to ensure the executor works perfectly on your Windows PC.
1. Prerequisites & System Dependencies
Prior to installing Solara, your system needs several core libraries so the executor can operate properly. Without these components, the app might crash or fail to launch. You can download them directly from Microsoft using the links below:
- Visual C++ Redistributable (x64): Download here (Essential to run the C++ engine).
- .NET Desktop Runtime (x64): Download here (Essential for rendering the interface).
Tip: After setting up these runtimes, reboot your computer prior to opening Solara for the first time.
2. Solara Installation Steps
- Head to our Home page and click on the Download button.
- Find the downloaded .zip archive and extract it into a separate, clean folder on your PC (e.g.,
C:\Solara). Avoid launching it directly out of the ZIP or Temp folder. - Run solara.exe as Administrator so it receives all required permissions.
3. Executing Scripts
- Start Roblox and join any game.
- Run Solara and allow the interface window to load.
- Press the Attach button.
- Insert your Lua script into the text area and click Execute.
4. Troubleshooting & Solutions
Solara shuts down immediately
If the software crashes immediately on launch, a missing dependency is typically the cause. Navigate up to Step 1 and ensure both the Visual C++ Redistributable along with the .NET Desktop Runtime are properly installed. Reboot your PC afterwards.
"No Client Selected" error
This prompt indicates that Solara fails to locate your Roblox game client. Be sure to join an experience in Roblox before launching Solara. If the issue continues, terminate Roblox and Solara, then relaunch them following this sequence: first Roblox, wait until fully loaded into a game, then start Solara as Administrator.
Failed to attach (Red Dot)
When the attach button displays a red dot, it generally indicates that Roblox recently updated or you are logged into another account than your primary one. Try launching Solara as Administrator. Additionally, close background tools such as Discord Overlay to avoid blocked injections.
Script fails to run (loadstring issue)
If a script errors out and mentions a "loadstring" problem, the script is likely broken or out of sync with current Roblox updates. When a script depends on a `loadstring` URL, check that the link remains reachable. Opening that raw URL in a browser and copying its code directly into the executor can also resolve it.
Problem still unresolved?
If you attempted every step above and the executor still fails to function, your current files may be damaged or outdated. Please try performing a fresh extraction. This resolves nearly all difficulties.
